Family: I am married with three adult children. I have one granddaughter who is one year old.

Who is your role model? My role model was my aunt. She instilled in me a love of learning at a young age. I also learned a lot of life lessons from her including how to respect others, regardless of their background or position in life.

What book has most influenced you? One of the most influential books that I have read was "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People." Reading this book was a life changing event for me.

What is your greatest teaching memory? One of my greatest teaching memories was the year that I looped up to second grade. My first grade students and parents were so happy when they returned the next year and found out that I would be their teacher for another year.

What is your favorite quote or personal motto? I truly believe in the quote by Malala Yousefzai, "One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change. Education is the only solution."

What is a fact about you that most people don't know? One fact that most people don’t know about me is that I have a pit bull who I love dearly!

Any hidden talents or hobbies? I am an avid reader. Reading is my favorite hobby because it is very relaxing after a long day at work. I also love being outdoors in nature.
